The first picture book about Emil in Lönneberga translated to English.
On a farm called Katthult in Lönneberga lived a boy called Emil. With golden hair, bright blue eyes and a kind look about him, no one would expect him to be anything other than a sweet little angel. But alas, sometimes appearances can be deceiving, because Emil was wild and stubborn, and he made mischief almost every day. But Emil was decent in the way – he never did the same trick twice. Once he hoisted his little sister Ida up the flagpole. Another time he rode Lukas the horse straight into the great hall where the mayor was having a party. And soon enough, a loud shout can be heard across the farm – Emil’s father yelling his name, at which Emil flees into the shed to escape his wrath.
Astrid Lindgren’s stories about Emil are loved by generations of readers.
This picture book comes with the original Swedish illustrations by Björn Berg.
