Electronic contacts convey Exif data and allow camera-based aperture selection. In addition, an integrated USB port allows updating the lens firmware.

HD Nano multi-layer coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast. This coating is also water resistant to protect the exposed surfaces from moisture.
