This portable desktop tape drive writes to both LTO-7 and LTO-8 tapes, which are designed to have a shelf life of more than 30 years. Equipped with a pair of Thunderbolt 3 ports, the mTape LTO-8 desktop drive can write up to 12 TB of data per tape cartridge, with a maximum data transfer rate of 300 MB/s.
